My name is Scott Seek, and I am honored to serve as the County Councilman for the 5th District of Jefferson County, Missouri. A lifelong resident of this wonderful county, I grew up here, attended local schools, and returned after college to build my life and career in the community I love. I am proud to be married to my high school sweetheart, Jodie (Whaley) Seek, a Jefferson County native. Together, we have raised our two children, Cole (22) and Mya (19), right here in Jefferson County.

For nearly 18 years, I have worked as a Financial Advisor, helping families in and around Jefferson County manage and grow their wealth. I feel blessed to have built my life and career in a county rich with diverse opportunities and abundant natural beauty.

Commitment to Service

I have dedicated significant time and resources to fostering growth and creating opportunities for the people of Jefferson County. My service includes:

• Long-time board member of the Jefferson County Family YMCA

• Board member of the Jefferson County Growth Association

• President and inaugural board member of the Jefferson County Tourism Commission

• Past President and board member of the Jefferson County Parks Department

• Board member of the Jefferson County Economic Development Commission

• Rotarian and active participant in several community organizations, including:

  • I-55 Corridor Planning Committee

  • Trailnet

  • Founding member and coordinator of the Bottleneck Bridge Ride

My passion lies in ensuring the health, growth, and well-being of Jefferson County residents.

Jefferson County is a unique treasure, offering a wealth of natural resources, stunning landscapes, and an ideal mix of rural charm and proximity to urban areas. I believe we are only beginning to unlock our county’s full potential.

As your County Councilman, I am committed to pursuing opportunities for growth while preserving the values and resources that make Jefferson County special. Government should support and guide progress without becoming overbearing. My focus is on ensuring our growth is sustainable, balanced, and beneficial for all.

Economic Growth

• Port Development: Jefferson County’s waterways, particularly the Mississippi River, present an extraordinary opportunity for economic expansion. Now is the time to capitalize on this resource and drive port-related growth.

Infrastructure & Environment

• Smart Growth: Infrastructure must keep pace with development to support both residents and businesses.

• Parks & Trails: Our natural beauty is an asset. Integrating parks and multimodal transportation into our planning fosters a healthier, more connected community.

Tourism & Commerce

Jefferson County’s attractions, from its wineries and breweries to parks and shops, have untapped potential. By fostering tourism and supporting local businesses, we can create inviting spaces for visitors while driving economic benefits. Tourism not only highlights our county’s charm but also generates a significant return on investment, fueling growth and prosperity for all residents.
